Isaiah 6:3
3And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. one...: Heb. this cried to this the whole...: Heb. his glory is the fulness of the whole earth
1 John 4:8
8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
Christian doctrine begins with God. Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD. And yet from the start the Bible reveals plurality within the one God — Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. The God of the Bible is holy, sovereign, eternal, present everywhere, all-knowing, all-powerful, unchangeably good — and personal. He is love. He is the Father of mercies. He hears, sees, calls, comes, sends, dwells, redeems. To know Him is the substance of eternal life.
